Canadian Linen Organizes 3rd Annual Day of Service

 Corporate Accounts employees will spend a day volunteering for The Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby to continue the company’s mission of giving back to local communities.

 What:                   On Wednesday September 28, 2016, the Vancouver branch of Canadian Linen will participate in its 3rd annual Day of Service in which employees will volunteer for The Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby. They will spend the day assembling 1260 Comfort Kits which contain needed essentials such as toothpaste, toothbrush,  soap, razor, Band-Aids, tissues  etc., reports Anthony Wickner, Director of Corporate Accounts.

“The Comfort Kits will be distributed throughout Burnaby, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley during Homelessness Action Week.

Canadian Linen, SPARC BC, the Council of Community Homeless Tables, Save On Foods and PODS collaborated for the project” states Wanda Mulholland, Society Coordinator for The Society To End Homelessness In Burnaby.

Background:       In continuation of the company’s commitment to giving back, Canadian Linen branches across the country are each participating in a Day of Service during the month of September. In the past two years, more than 1,800 employees across the U.S. and Canada contributed more than 10,000 hours of volunteer work and made more than $1,250,000 in monetary and product donations
