Your membership fees cover the cost of hosting the various meetings including the Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness, the collaborative planning table for Burnaby. The fees also contribute to supporting the people in Burnaby experiencing homelessness.
While we have been very fortunate to maintain our weekly Outreach Resource Services during the Covid-19 Pandemic, and also initiating 2 additional pop-up Centres in the North and South Burnaby Quadrant. The pandemic has brought additional challenges for providing services to our most vulnerable population and keeping them safe. As always there is more to do as we know from the numbers of visits and looking around our neighbourhoods.
We are immensely grateful for the support towards the issue of homelessness amongst the various levels of government, but more work is needed in order to create and maintain affordable housing for all of the estimated 350 – 400 homeless in Burnaby.
2021 is an important year full of hope for the Society with:
* Increased community awareness and funding through our 5th annual Coldest Night of the Year Event! This year’s virtual CNOY ’21 had fantastic participation as well as a record number of donors and outstanding results from the community.
* Continued and additional provision of services through the weekly operation of the Outreach Resource Centre such as access to a Nurse Practitioner, Foot Care, Hair Cuts, Income tax assistance, vaccination appointment assistance, as well as other services such as the possibility of showers for our guests.
* Establishment of a more permanent Outreach Resource Centre type of service in the North Burnaby area with ongoing medical/mental health support as well as other needed services

Membership fees
For organizations based on sliding scale based on annual budgets:
– $49,000 = $25
$50,000 – $499,999 = $50
+$500,000 = $75
Individuals pay $25 per year (can be paid by cheque, cash at the meeting, e-transfer to societypaypal123@gmail.com (use the word: membership as password) or paypal through our website http://burnabyhomeless.org/donate/
Waived fees are possible by contacting the President of the Society through info@burnabyhomeless.com and requesting a waiver.
