Mayor Mike Hurley has made the official proclamation for this year’s Homelessness Action Week (Oct 11- 17) at the Open Council Meeting on Monday Oct. 5!
WHERE AS: The City of Burnaby recognizes that homelessness is an important issue and must be addressed in a holistic manner, and
WHERE AS: Individuals, non-profit organizations, government and private sector representatives have formed a group to find solutions to homelessness, and
WHERE AS: The common goal is to promote and implement successful programs, connect homeless and those at risk of homelessness to services and encourage community-led solutions to homelessness, and
WHERE AS: The vision for Burnaby is a home for everyone.
