Safe and affordable housing is a crucial issue which impacts Burnaby citizens at the core of our existence.

Housing, whether it is shelter, transitional, supported or independent housing units, is deemed to be the first step in assisting to stabilize people who are homeless. There are many innovative models of housing to assist people who are homeless.

The Society To End Homelessness in Burnaby has the expertise and commitment to work together to create affordable housing for vulnerable Burnaby citizens.

Although senior levels of government have the mandated responsibility for housing, the municipal government has an important role in approving suitable property and working with the senior levels of government to secure housing for vulnerable citizens.

The Society To End Homelessness in Burnaby would like to work with the City to build creative options for housing our community’s most vulnerable (a “made for Burnaby” housing solution).
