The Outreach Resource Centre is open on Thursday mornings from 9:00am-11:30 am at Southside Community Church at 7135 Walker Avenue in Burnaby.
The Outreach Resource Centre provides a welcoming non judgemental atmosphere where people without housing or living in extreme poverty can access a bagged lunch at 10:00am, donated clothing and toiletry items and access the Progressive Housing Society Outreach workers if needing assistance with housing or obtaining services within government ministries.
Nurses provide immunizations seasonally.
Once a month there is a learning table providing access to reading materials, assistance with reading, informal discussions about literacy.
All items distributed are donated and in limited supply.
The Outreach Resource Centre services between 100-120 people per week operating with the support from members of the Society To End Homelessness in Burnaby community volunteers and Burnaby’s Inter Faith Community.
